Oli’s boules

Picture the scene – David Attinger, Tim Blackshaw and Oli Hill with their balls in each hand. Yes, it must be the Bath Boules Tournament!!

With 64 teams from a variety of organisations based in and around Bath, this year’s tournament was the best yet. Attinger Jack entered alongside two plucky clients who also joined in the day’s festivities.

How did the team do? Hmm, word reaches us that they started off slowly but gradually got better as the Pimms flowed! However, like all alcohol induced encouragement, the law of diminishing returns kicked in with our team’s performance dramatically declining by end of play. Final result? 2nd in their mini-league, just missing out on a chance to go through to the final play-offs.

After a day drying out, and we don’t mean because of the weather, our team would like to point out that the Bath Boules Tournament is for a very good cause – the Bath Boules Charitable Trust – which last year gave nearly £12k to local charities.
